Korene zboru siahajú až do roku 1996, kedy Monika Holíková založila a viedla cirkevný zbor v Očovej. V roku 2010 sa bývalé členky tohto zboru opäť spojili a pod novým umeleckým vedením Oľgy Bystrianskej vytvorili ženský spevácky zbor, ktorý dostal meno podľa slávneho rodáka z Očovej – Mateja Bela Funtíka. Od roku 2013 zbor funguje samostatne ako občianske združenie. Zbor svojou aktivitou obohacuje duchovný a kultúrny život nielen vo svojom kraji, ale aj za hranicami Slovenska. V roku 2015 zbor prijal pozvanie na Európsky festiva ECHO v Hodoníne (ČR) a v rámci spolupráce s komorným zborom Viva Musica v roku 2018 koncertoval v Srbsku – Novy Sad, Báčsky Petrovec. Zbor Belius sa neustále otvára pre nové projekty a spoluprácu. Vystúpenie zboru obohacujú choreografické prvky – kostými, pohyb a body percussion. Repertoár zboru tvoria sakrálne skladby, ľudové piesne v úprave, gospel a súčasná zborová tvorba.
